1. Acceptance of Terms
Welcome to Heppuwa Weddings ("Platform"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, services, and applications. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Platform.
These Terms apply to all users of the site, including ordinary visitors, registered couples ("Couples"), registered vendors ("Vendors"), and wedding guests ("Guests").
2. User Accounts & Security
- Account Creation: You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
- Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your password. You agree not to disclose your password to any third party and to take sole responsibility for any activities or actions under your account.
- Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years old to use this Platform.
3. Terms for Couples
3.1 Vendor Interactions: Heppuwa provides a directory of Vendors. Any contract you enter into with a Vendor is strictly between you and the Vendor. Heppuwa is not a party to such contracts and is not responsible for the quality or delivery of services.
3.2 Planning Tools: Our budget, checklist, and guest list tools are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee their accuracy or suitability for your specific needs.
4. User Content
4.1 License: By posting any content (including photos, reviews, or descriptions) on the Platform, you grant Heppuwa a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, and worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute such content for the purpose of operating and marketing the Platform.
4.2 Ownership: You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to use and authorize the use of your content as described herein.
5. Terms for Guests
As a Guest using the Platform to RSVP or view wedding details, you agree to respect the privacy of the Couple and other guests. You agree not to scrape, harvest, or misuse any personal data visible to you on the wedding website.
6. Limitation of Liability & Disclaimers
6.1 The Platform is a Venue Only
Heppuwa Weddings acts exclusively as an online venue to connect Couples with Vendors. We do not oversee, direct, or control the quality, safety, or legality of the services provided by Vendors.
6.2 Release of Liability
By using the Platform, you effectively release Heppuwa Weddings, its founders, partners, and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with disputes between you and another user.
6.3 Financial Cap
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Heppuwa Weddings' total liability to you for any damages arising from these Terms or your use of the Platform shall not exceed the amount you have paid to Heppuwa in the past six months, or 5,000 LKR, whichever is lower.
7. Dispute Resolution & Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
8. Termination
We may terminate or suspend access to our Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach the Terms.
